Shimancyu Soba is located along Route 329, just near the border between Okinawa City and Kitanakagusuku Village. Right next to the store is OK Furniture, a famous large furniture store in Okinawa.
This is what the inside of Shimancyu Soba restaurant looks like. There are both table and tatami room seating, giving the restaurant an Okinawan diner feel. The waitresses are all Amma (a dialect word for the older sister in front of the obar), giving the restaurant an Okinawan atmosphere.
Here is the menu list of Shimancyu Soba. The set meal menu is extensive, and the most expensive set meal is quite reasonable at 850 yen. This is a good price for families with many children.
This time I came with my children, so we discussed what we wanted to eat and decided on the taco rice soba set, tebichi set meal, and juicy set meal.
This is the Taco Rice Soba Set (700 yen). As the name suggests, it is a set of taco rice and Okinawan soba noodles. The owner had trained in Kin Town, the home of taco rice, before opening this Shimancyu Soba restaurant, and the food is just as delicious as it is in the real place. The slightly spicy sauce whetted my appetite.
Then there was the Okinawa soba with Sanmainiku meat on top. First, I took a sip of the soup. The clear broth has a rich umami of kelp, bonito dashi, and vegetables, making it an elegant and mellow soup. It has an elegant flavor that anyone, young or old, male or female, can easily enjoy. Surprisingly, they use no seasonings other than salt. How could they make it taste this good with only salt seasoning! Everyone should try it at least once.
And this is the Tebichi set meal (850 yen) at Shimanchu Soba. It is a hearty set meal with three large tebichi and a small bowl of soba. The tebichi was very soft and easy to eat, although it was very firm and elastic. The three large pieces of tebichi filled me up. My children seemed to enjoy it as well.
And this is the Juicy Set Lunch (650 yen). After all, juicy is an indispensable accompaniment to Okinawa soba. It was a delicious juicy soup that matched the elegant broth of the Okinawa soba.
About Shimancyu soba
Shimancyu Soba is located along Route 329, one of Okinawa’s main arteries. It is a wallet-friendly diner that serves both taco rice and Okinawan soba with a wide variety of set menus at reasonable prices. Surprisingly few restaurants offer both taco rice and Okinawan soba, and I recommend this restaurant for tourists who want to try both. I plan to use this restaurant often in the future.

If you want to know delicious restaurants of Soki soba or cuisine
Since you are coming to Okinawa traveling a lot, you would like to know the delicious restaurants of Soki soba and Okinawa cuisine. The book I refer to is "Pia Okinawa Food Book". Not only Okinawa soba and ramen, but also a variety of delicious Okinawa restaurants such as steak, Italian, Chinese, cafe etc are covered. There are also many pictures, and recent Okinawa delicious shops are introduced. "Okinawa shop 77 popular bloggers choose to pick" is an electronic book, but very interesting shops are introduced. A restaurant I do not even know about is included and it is helpful.
