I went to the Okinawa Industrial Festival where all the products and services of local companies that are closely related to the life of Okinawa come together. Familiar companies looking at TV commercial on a daily basis, as well as companies that are found at supermarkets and convenience stores, shops that have heard names, products of unfamiliar companies, etc. Okinawa Industry festival that we can experience products and services of various companies and shops active in Okinawa at once! It was fresh and fun just looking at the stalls and shops that are completely different from the regular festival. This time I will introduce the state of such Okinawa industry festival for a brief moment.
The 42nd Okinawa Industrial Festival was held for three days from October 19th (Friday) to 21st (Sunday). The weather was very good for these three days. It was refreshing and calm weather to walk around with T-shirts. Unfortunately last year it was hit by a typhoon hit, it was good weather that it was canceled. This is how the Okinawa Industry Festival looks like this.
Although it may be hard to understand in the photograph, all these stalls were a company or shop in Okinawa. They sold their own products, they were full of fresh, interesting encounters just by looking at them. Of course, many stalls were offered for cheap goods, for example Okinawa Yachimun (pottery) and Ryukyu glass were sold at half price.
As long as the weather was nice, of course the beer was fine! There were plenty of people in the beer garden of Orion beer, and they were drinking beer tastily. Beer is the best at the festival from noon on sunny days, is not it? Speaking of Okinawa beer, it is Orion beer!
Not only Orion beer, there were many stalls of Awamori Brewery. Since various Awamori brewery manufacturers of Okinawa guns meet in one place, we could compare each awamori and original sake and compare it with each other. I realized that Okinawa not only has Awamori but also various alcoholic drinks. I will enjoy having more alcohol in this.
There was also a stall of Helios Pub on Naha City International Street I like. Apart from Orion beer, there are more delicious beers in Okinawa. It is a nice time to drink alcohol.
Of course, Okinawa industrial festival is not just alcohol. (Laugh). There are many handmade experience corners and events that children can enjoy together.
There was also an area where car graffiti was free. My child was happy to do graffiti.
I am looking at everyday life, but I am looking forward to the industry festival so that I can find products that I do not know well. For example, a grave. The grave of Okinawa is different from the mainland Japan, but I do not know the price. It is unique to the industrial festival that we can easily see the type and price of the grave. Thanks to that I found out how much grave it is (laugh). It was slightly higher than I thought ….
Actually Okinawa manhole lid has various patterns. I saw this on TV before I knew this, but it was my first time to see it. There were lots of various kinds of manholes that were so colorful. When I was taking a walk, I thought I should try to be careful.
