Densuke Shouten in Itoman City looks like the picture above. It looks like a place we would want to go for a drink. The inside of the pub looks like the picture below, with the atmosphere of a Showa-era candy store.
Then here is the food and drink menu of Densuke Shouten. Both drink and food menus are abundant. I am very happy.
After all, when you come to Densuke Shouten, you start with a Senbero. I was very happy to see the wide variety of drink menus available at Senbero.
This is Densuke Shouten’s draft beer and today’s snack. Densuke Shouten is happy to announce that the beer at Senbero is not happoushu, but Suntory’s Premol! You can drink that Premoru at Senbero! It is the best value for money.
And what was a bit interesting were the old-fashioned bromide photos of idols used to replace the senbero drinks. It seems that there are photos of various idols who decorated the Showa era, so you can enjoy that as well.
To go with the delicious draft beer, we chose the crunchy chicken skin rice cracker (360 yen) and the stuffed green pepper (480 yen). The crispy chicken skin rice cracker was literally crunchy and tasted great with either salt or yuzu wasabi, and the stuffed green pepper was a perfect match for beer.
One of the great things about Densuke Shouten’s Senbero is that you can also drink Japanese sake. The only Japanese sake available at Senbero is from the 400 yen shelf, but for an additional charge you can choose from 500 yen and 700 yen sake. You can choose the bottle you want to drink from this refrigerator.
There were quite a variety of Japanese sake available, and I had a hard time deciding which one to drink, but the Japanese sake I chose was Hakkaisan. I frankly chose the sake with the highest alcohol content (lol). Since self-service pouring is available, I poured the sake supernamely.
The menu items I chose to accompany the sake were “Tataki Bonito” (550 yen), “Fried Horse Mackerel” (200 yen), “Dashimaki Tamago with Crab and Salmon Roe” (700 yen), and “Fried Corned Beef Hash with Chives and Bean Sprouts” (390 yen).
This was the kind of menu that made Japanese sake go down endlessly. The seasoning was strong, so the sake tasted great, and I found myself drinking more and more of it. As expected, one cup of sake was not enough, so I chose another sake from the 700 yen cups. The sake I chose was “KaraKara” whose name caught my attention.
The KaraKara Japanese sake was dry and crisp, and both the food and the sake were delicious. Although we were getting quite full, we next ordered the “Meat Tofu with Fried Egg on Top” (420 yen), a menu item recommended by Densuke Shouten.
I took a bite and found the dish to be quite flavorful (it is called ajikuter in the Okinawan dialect). I thought it would be just as delicious if I sprinkled it over white rice, so I ordered more white rice and had it sprinkled over it. It was a perfect ending to the meal.
Densuke Shouten also has an extensive drink menu, and even Sembero can order a dessert-like “Densuke’s Lemon Sour with Sherbet” (450 yen).
I ordered this as an after-dinner dessert. We were able to enjoy beer, sake, and sours until the end of the meal. Thank you for the food.
About Densuke Shouten
neighborhood of Naha City and also in Okinawa City. There is an extensive drink menu available at Sembero, and you can choose from a really large selection of beer, Japanese sake, cocktails, and other alcoholic beverages. I think Sembero is the most cost-effective. It would be great if we could refill the Senbero itself, but then I’m not sure the restaurant would be able to keep up with the business…. I will go back for another drink.

If you want to know delicious restaurants of Soki soba or cuisine
Since you are coming to Okinawa traveling a lot, you would like to know the delicious restaurants of Soki soba and Okinawa cuisine. The book I refer to is "Pia Okinawa Food Book". Not only Okinawa soba and ramen, but also a variety of delicious Okinawa restaurants such as steak, Italian, Chinese, cafe etc are covered. There are also many pictures, and recent Okinawa delicious shops are introduced. "Okinawa shop 77 popular bloggers choose to pick" is an electronic book, but very interesting shops are introduced. A restaurant I do not even know about is included and it is helpful.
