On March 5, 2023, I participated for the first time in the half marathon of the Ayahashi Undersea Road Race, which had been postponed for three consecutive events in Corona.
Thanks to the warm support of everyone along the way, I was able to complete the race without incident.
The day of the race was a beautiful sunny day with a high temperature of 21 degrees Celsius, making it a perfect marathon day.
It was a great feeling to be able to run with so many runners along the Uminchu Road, a popular sightseeing spot in Okinawa.
The ocean was beautiful and the sea breeze was very pleasant.
Of course, the warm support of everyone along the roadside made me feel good about running.
Thank you to everyone who cheered us on along the way, to those who brought us many goodies, to the volunteers who supported the runners at the aid stations, and to the junior high and high school students who gave us encouraging support.
I will definitely participate again next year and finish the race!
